About Reform
Reform (YC W24) is building a platform for building and managing AI agents that perform high-stakes operational work, starting with logistics and supply chain. Omar and his co-founder started about three and a half years ago, exploring AI across five foundational industries, and doubled down on logistics and supply chain because of the sheer volume of complexity, how high-stakes and manual the processes are, and the fact that so much physical work has to happen for goods to move, so pure software can only automate so much and the processes have to be reinvented. They began selling to freight forwarders (core to the supply chain), and as they served larger forwarders they expanded into tangential services (customs brokerage, warehousing, 3PL, trucking). Reform is now a platform that lets any company in the supply chain build its own AI workspace: a system of action that gets most of the work done, bringing all of a company’s business context into Reform for it to manage. The team is deliberately lean at 14 people, which has forced them to solve customer problems through a configurable product rather than throwing bodies at it. Traction is strong: working with multiple of the 10 largest logistics service providers globally, north of $2M ARR, six-figure average contract size, north of 200% net revenue retention, north of 90% lifetime logo retention and pilot-graduation rate, and at least one customer from every company type in the supply chain.

About This Role

A full-stack software engineer who thrives on ownership and builds robust, high-performance systems from first principles, working across the stack from front-end interfaces to backend data pipelines to ship production-ready code that powers complex logistics operations. Same core-product principle: anything built for a customer is built into the core product as a lever; only configuration is customer-specific.

What You’ll Own

  • The full lifecycle of high-stakes projects: architecture and design through deployment and continuous optimization
  • End-to-end features across the stack (Python, Next.js, Node)
  • Architectural decisions and long-term technical direction
  • Engineering excellence through code review and testing
  • Mentoring new engineers and shaping engineering culture

Requirements

  • 4+ years of software engineering, ideally in fast-paced startup environments
  • Fluency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Next.js
  • Builds robust systems from first principles; strong ownership
  • Solves complex technical problems in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Product-minded or systems-minded (both ideal; strong on one is fine and balanced by the next hire)

Signal

  • Intercept: top-tier school or a well-known fast-growing startup (big tech second-order)
  • Slope: early at a startup they helped grow, or a strong climb delivering real value
  • Passion for logistics, ideally prior industry experience (a plus)

Who Will Thrive Here

  • A first-principles full-stack engineer who wants real ownership of foundational systems
  • Someone high-slope from a strong school or fast-growing startup
  • An engineer who cares about architecture and mentoring, not just shipping tickets
  • Someone excited to power a critical, underbuilt industry
