About PromptArmor
PromptArmor is an AI security company founded by Shankar Krishnan and Vikram Jayanthi, two threat researchers who met on their first day of CS at UC Berkeley. They spent years finding vulnerabilities in AI applications and agents, publishing some of the earliest agent-specific security research, and then built a platform that finds these new risks at scale. Today PromptArmor gives enterprise security and risk teams frontier intelligence on the entire agent supply chain, from AI vendors and models to the skills, connectors and plugins their agents rely on. Backed by Y Combinator (W24) and based in San Francisco, PromptArmor works with some of the largest enterprises in America across insurance, financial services, healthcare and law, which are industries where getting AI risk wrong isn’t an option. De-risking AI adoption has become a top priority for nearly every large company, and PromptArmor is growing quickly to meet that demand with a lean team of researchers, engineers and former founders.

About This Role

PromptArmor’s customers are very large enterprises that, on average, more than double their spend within a year. One customer went from a $70K contract to seven figures in six months. Expansion is a major revenue lever, and no one currently owns it full time. This hire turns the installed base into a growth engine. Shankar was explicit that this is not a babysitting role.

Day to day, the AM talks to customers to understand how they use the product and what other problems they have. When the product can already solve one of those problems, the AM demos it, sets it up in the customer’s account and sizes its value. When it can’t, the AM brings the problem back to the team to inform the roadmap. The single most important spike is technical credibility. Customers need to trust that a problem they raise will be diagnosed correctly, so being likable without competence won’t work.
