About This Role
This is a rare opportunity to be one of the first employees. As a Founding Engineer at Pascal, you will deliver modern, agent-first architectures to our customers. Responsibilities include:
- Building the foundational infrastructure (both single and multi-tenant hosting models).
- Resolving messy data extraction at terabyte-scale.
- Designing the primitives for multi-step, memory-intensive agents and their data access policies.
- Deploying production agents for marquee enterprise customers.
- Shaping the initial culture of the founding team. This role will be in-person at our NYC office five days a week.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of engineering experience wrangling with modern server-side and client-side languages.
- A track record of defining and delivering cross-stack technical designs.
- Ability to distill outcome-driven customer requirements into clear hypotheses and solutions.
- A strong debugging intuition when operating in production environments with limited playbooks.
- An openness to explore and bring new agentic workflows to day-to-day engineering processes.
- A first-principles, direct, and collaborative mindset.
Bonus points:
- Familiarity with GCP and Terraform.
- Familiarity with large-scale document data extraction.
- Familiarity with search tooling and retrieval methodologies at scale.
- Own technical engagement with customers and prospects.
- Willingness to encourage AI-driven workflows in other internal functions.
