About Eragon
Eragon’s core thesis is that companies should own their intelligence, rather than being trapped inside one provider’s models, pricing, and privacy terms. The product is a model router that routes across 450+ models (open and closed source), hostable anywhere (locally, in the customer’s own cloud, or elsewhere), giving full control over analytics and how AI is used across the org. It is a chat interface plus an easy way to launch enterprise agents that can do real work (pay an invoice, go hire someone). Backed by a16z Speedrun, Soma Capital, Axiom Partners, AltaIR Capital, and Beat Ventures. The company is a global one, selling worldwide, with about 100 customers from seed-to-Series-B names like Corgi and Slash up to larger enterprises like Deel, Prodware, and other public companies. They have deployed engineers on-site with customers globally (most recently two engineers for a week in Abu Dhabi, also France and elsewhere), and they have a company apartment to help relocate new hires into the city.

About This Role

Eragon needs technical engineers who can bridge product engineering and customer deployment. This hire will help Eragon deploy its product inside customer environments, resolve implementation issues directly with customer teams, and provide technical support to go-to-market and client leads without losing the ability to contribute to the core product.

You’ll work as a customer-capable engineer: deploying Eragon in customer environments, sometimes working from a customer’s office, troubleshooting implementation issues, and partnering with sales or client leads on technical deployments. The primary spike is combining strong engineering depth with the ability to communicate directly with customers and move deployments forward globally.

What You'll Own

  • Deploying Eragon inside customer environments, including on-site deployments when needed.
  • Working directly with customer teams to configure, troubleshoot, and improve product implementations.
  • Serving as the technical partner to go-to-market and client leads during customer deployments.
  • Contributing to core product work when deployment needs require it.
  • Traveling to customer sites globally as needed.

Technical Requirements

  • Strong software engineering ability with sound fundamentals and the ability to contribute to core product work.
  • Experience working with an AI-native product is preferred within the stated startup background.
  • Ability to deploy, troubleshoot, and operate software inside customer environments.
  • Ability to move between customer-facing implementation work and core engineering work.

Execution and Ownership

  • Take ownership of customer deployments from implementation through issue resolution.
  • Work directly with customers and internal go-to-market stakeholders to unblock deployments.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-moving startup environment with substantial responsibility.
  • Be comfortable working on-site with customers and traveling internationally when required.

Background

  • 1–5 years of professional experience.
  • Experience at a high-growth or venture-backed startup.
  • Experience in a customer-facing engineering, deployment, implementation, or forward-deployed capacity is valuable.
  • Candidates with nontraditional educational or career paths may be considered when they demonstrate strong engineering ability and a clear area of expertise.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience deploying software inside customer environments or working on-site with customers.
  • Experience at an AI-native startup or another high-growth startup.
  • Existing familiarity with customer-facing technical work and global deployments.
  • Prior experience with companies such as Decagon, Sierra, or Harvey is a sourcing signal, not a requirement.

Who Will Thrive Here This role suits an engineer who enjoys switching between deep technical work and direct customer problem-solving. You’ll thrive if you are comfortable taking ownership in a high-intensity startup, communicating with customers, traveling for deployments, and diving into core code when implementation work calls for it.
