About Anvara
Anvara is the marketplace where brands discover, evaluate, and close sponsorship deals across sports & live events. Brand customers include Delta, Brex, Kalshi, GoPuff, and BeReal; properties include the Chicago Cubs, Colorado Rockies, LAFC, the Wynn, and Major League Pickleball. It’s raised nearly $7M — including from Game Changers Ventures (Roger Ehrenberg’s $100M sports-tech fund; seed investor in The Trade Desk, Datadog, Wise), Marquee Ventures (Cubs ownership group), Sequel, Bryan Rosenblatt (early Robinhood/ClickUp/Carta), and Jonathan Opdyke (founded/sold a company for $250M). The thesis: sponsorship is a $100B+ global market still run on cold emails, spreadsheets, and handshake deals, with no centralized way to buy it like digital media — Anvara is building that.
Culture: moonshot goals, customer-obsessed (“11-Star Service”), full ownership, originality/thoughtful dissent, and above all high agency. All roles: in-office 5 days/week, SoHo NYC, lunch included, T&E budget, meaningful early equity, and a personalized perks philosophy (gym, dinners, vacation, education budget — “tell us what it means to you”).
About This Role
You’ll own the supply side of the marketplace — bringing rightsholders onto Anvara, helping them list and sell inventory, and building the relationships that make Anvara the default. The rightsholders you bring on get access to hundreds of brands actively looking to sponsor. You’ll work closely with the founders, build something from scratch, and over time hire and manage the rightsholder partnerships team as the function grows. Vs. the junior role, this one owns strategy and the playbook (not just runs it) and leads the biggest property conversations.
What You’ll Do
- Own part of the rightsholder pipeline — sourcing → onboarding → ongoing management
- Build and run an outbound strategy (event organizers, festival producers, venues, live-entertainment properties)
- Develop the supply-acquisition playbook (what works, what scales)
- Run discovery/demos; lead strategic conversations with major/multi-property organizations
- Work with founders on supply strategy, pricing intelligence, vertical prioritization; feed insights to product/eng
- Represent Anvara at key industry events (SBJ conferences, dinners)
- Own the numbers (pipeline, onboarding velocity, listing quality, deal flow); eventually hire/manage the team
Requirements
- 2–5 years in partnerships, sales, sports, live events, entertainment, banking, or related
- Deep understanding of the sports/live-events landscape — business models, how properties monetize, how inventory is structured/priced/valued
- Has a network — knows decision-makers at teams, venues, festivals, event orgs, and how deals get done (can bring a warm network day one)
- Operator (owns the whole relationship), great storyteller (translates a marketplace for a VP of Partnerships/producer/sales director)
- High agency (requirement); thrives when the bar is high and the pace is relentless; not comfortable with comfortable
- Genuinely lives in the ecosystem (not just works in sponsorship)
Who Will Thrive Here
- A connected, operator-minded partnerships pro who can own and scale the entire supply side from scratch
- Someone with real sports/live-events domain depth and a warm network to activate immediately
- A high-agency playbook-writer ready to grow into leading the team
